Message from NRCT Executive Director
On behalf of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), I would like to extend a heartfelt welcome to you all. The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) has played an important role in driving research for development of the country for more than 60 years. Today, the NRCT which operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), serves as the main national funding agency for research and innovation to foster the national economy, social development, and environmental protection, leading Thailand to move from “Developing” to “Developed” country.
As part of our commitment to promote and support research, innovation and technology, NRCT operates various kind of international programs in bilateral and multilateral level from basic science to applied research, with a view to apply its result to the country’s development in all dimensions, overcoming regional challenges and concerns, as well as achieving the global goals, known as the Sustainable Development Goals.

Email: The DBAR ICoE-Bangkok is an initiative hosted by the NRCT in cooperation with 4 strategic partners which are the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Mahidol University, Ramkhamhaeng University, and Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA).This center would play a critical role to promotes international cooperation and the exchange of expertise and technology, as well as collaborates with the working groups in regional belt and road countries under DBAR Science Program, to develop and apply regional big earth data for environmental protection, and risk reduction associated with natural disasters and support research on sustainable development.
By promoting digital solutions, we aim to enhance informed policy-making and decision support systems, aligning our collective efforts towards the SDGs to build a more sustainable and resilient future for all.

With the auspices of the Digital Bellt and Road (DBAR) Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS), the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation established the DBAR International Center of Excellence Bangkok (ICoE Bangkok).
In collaboration with its partner organizations, DBAR- ICoE Bangkok has, over its initial years of operation, functioned and successfully contributed to scientific research, knowledge sharing, and capacity building to address knowledge gaps, facilitate decision making and create regional partnerships and networks.
The opening of this page, within the parent NRCT website, serves as an effective medium and platform for information sharing and dissemination on research and monitoring, partnership and networking, support services, training, capacity building, exchange of professionals, and more.
We invite our partners and collaborators to utilize this facility to share and learn relevant information.
